Inside and outside is glazed with a food safe, clear glaze, except for the main design which is left matte for contrast.
Any matte/unglazed areas are treated with Liquid Quartz, which which is a food safe sealant designed specifically for ceramic that keeps the outside water tight and stain resistant.
