Wheel-thrown speckled clay shallow bowl/plate with hand carved sgraffito and mishima triple moon, floral frame, and painted leafy background with stars and slip trailed details.
Inside and outside is glazed with a food safe, clear glaze, except for main design which is left matte. The matte area has a product called "Liquid Quartz" applied to it, which seals it, making it waterproof and food safe.
**This piece is discounted because on one of the crescent moons, on the bottom right point seen in the first photo, you can see there are some small craters/holes along the outline of the moon. For some reason the glaze here had bubbles that did not seal back up, so these small holes may make it more difficult to clean. They have the Liquid Quartz product applied to them, but food may never the less be tricky to remove. Depending on how that makes you feel, this piece could be best used for holding dry foods or non-foods, or more of a decorative/display piece. **
